It is very much needed for accomplishing the objectives in the most effective manner. Communication is one of the key criterions that decide the success of any project in general. Communication need to be effective, objective oriented, multi-directional and also need to be as per the prevailing operational and cultural conditions. When communication patterns are trends are not meeting any of these traits then it is more likely that the project will not meet its objectives.

The current scenario selected for analysis and evaluation is a construction project environment. More specifically it is multi million dollar condomium complex constructions undertaken in a developing country by a Multinational company head quartered in United States of America. The project is a green field project; it got started from the scratch. Right from laying out the levelling, the complete project of residential complexes construction is scheduled to be completed in a 12 months of duration.

    It is a multi-million dollar condomium project scheduled in a location nearer to the suburban(About 30km from Johannesburg, the largest city).
    The project under construction is a residential complex mainly for upper middle class community.
    Expected about 2500 flats in the complex in the first phase. Also going to have business and commercial complexes in the construction site.
    As of now about 30% of the project is complete and with vast expertise and talent, the project is going smoothly.
    Current focus:
    There is room to further enhance the project management and project progression in the current project, by improving the current communication strategies. There are few communication problems being surfaced with lack of expertise of new staff as well due to absence of central core team to look after the communication problems. Also there is lack of policies in dealing with cultural diversity in communication context. Limited exposure of some staff to the modern communication facilities limiting the possible improvement in communication efficiency. The focus of discussion is in these aspects.
