Introduction

Each community tends to uplift themselves with the beliefs and values they follow. Upliftment of a community may include the religious beliefs or norms, which a person follows. Several religions try to dominate their community among all to increase their value in the society. They try to gather the respect an understanding for their religious beliefs that all strive for. Such upliftment can be caused by spreading the idea about the community.
Both Sayyid Ahmad Khan and Malcolm X have uplifted their respective community of Islam through their ideas. They used several strategies to convince the audience that Islam is the only religion, which is logical and must be followed by all. I am obliged to get an opportunity to analyze their works and represent their strategic similarities and importance of uplifting their community.
Strategies for Accomplishing the Motive
Sayyid Ahmad Khan applied the strategy of education program, which included both the modern subject, and respect of Islamic values. According to Kurzman, in page 291, Sayyid inculcated Quranic interpretations, criticized hadith, which was Muhammad’s prophecy and incorporated the values of ijtihad, which interpreted the religion.
Being a great orator, the power of convincing of Mr. Khan comes out through his speech to the audience. He always kept himself in an inconsiderate state yet accurately conveying the facts of acquiring Islam as religion. Similarly, Malcolm too conveys the teachings of Islam and the beliefs of it being the best way to submit ourselves to God.
According to Malcolm, in page 123, he says that the complete obedience and submission to Allah is Islam, which brings an inner peace to people. His strategy was to convince the people emotionally that the best religious practice in America is only Islam, which can bring out the people from darkness to the light. Both were working on uplifting the Islamic communities on different places but there are key similarities in their approach.
Sayyid brings out the reformation in educational institution and political constitution to a diverse audience and links the modern ideals with the Islamic faith. On the other hand, Malcolm conveys how the blacks were integrated into the white Americans and the complex issues between them about marginalization.
