America has been recognizedforits imperialist actions between 1898 and 1902 when William McKinley was selected as the president of America. It was observed that America went for its expansion of power to the other countries. In the year between 1898 and 1902, America expanded its industry and that required new global market for the country. They had to sell their products in the international market and that provoked them to expand their political power. During this period, the federal government of America was seeking to establish the socio-political concepts such as democracy, industry and Christianity, so that they can influence the culture of other countries.
However, the political assessment emerged that America was separated from other countries in the world as they held the tag of liberal and democraticcountry. In the year 1898, America occupied Hawaii and ensured their authority over their social, cultural and military equipment. Similarly, they occupied the Philippines, Cuba, Japan, Austria and Korea during this period of time to expand their political power. The reaction of American public towards the imperialist actions of William McKinley was negative.
