  • In light of the scriptures above, and others, examine the following biblical concepts.

    • Making Jesus Lord and Savior of one’s life




    • Other biblical aspects pertinent to salvation

Salvation
Salvation should be the ultimate aim of every human being
. The unification with God
must be the ultimate aim of the human life, and this basic truth has been thoroughly conveyed
by almost every major world religions. Christianity is among those world religions that have
showed humankind the way to get united with God through following the path to salvation. In
myriads of scriptures the concept of salvation has been depicted and interpreted, and in such
scriptures, complementing the need of understanding the concept of salvation, elaboration has
been made, from the religious and spiritual perspectives, on religious and humanitarian issues
like confession, repentance, turning, recognition of Jesus as Son of God, identifying Jesus as
the Saviour, and on several other biblical aspects pertinent to the concept of salvation.
Though the concept of salvation in biblical terms has been used to denote the process
of the Almighty saving humankind from wretchedness and destruction; the term itself is
multidimensional in nature (Riesebrodt, 2010). In this respect one must take into account the
fact that, “salvation involves the paradox of human freedom and divine election. Despite the
complexity of these dimensions, the Bible constantly speaks about salvation in the context of
some very simple and concrete relationships between humans and God, between human
beings, and between human beings and nature” (Bible Study Tools, 2017). But despite the
paradox, the simplicity of interpretation of the biblical term of salvation cannot be
undermined. The simplification actually implies a broader arena of complication in which
salvation constitute of several different aspects that have to be understood separately and
distinctly. Salvation, if analyzed from the biblical perspective, should be observed to be the
outcome of the amalgamation of multiple concepts including confession, repentance, turning,...
