Introduction    
Jesus used parables as a beautiful way of teaching people about the Kingdom of God. In his teaching on the Kingdom of God, Jesus makes several comparisons to the things that were commonly known by the people of the first century. Jesus compared the Kingdom to things like yeast, mustard seeds, hidden treasure, a king, a landowner and a net. To understand the parable it is important to have knowledge about the act of sowing and understanding regarding the idea of receptivity. The two parables wheat and weed and the net are related to judgment while others are concerned with the reality of the Kingdom in the 1st century.
Parable Used to Describe the Kingdom of God
    The seed: The meaning of this parable is associated with the background of the Palestine’s agricultural life of the first century. The parable explains that less attention should be given to the soil and the process of sowing should receive more attention. The seed sown acts a metaphor for the Kingdom and the soil must be prepare to receive it wherever it lands (Van Eck, 2016). The basic idea behind the metaphor is that Kingdom into the world can be received by some and can be rejected by others. Some will accept the Ruler-ship of God in their lives while others may reject it bluntly.
    The Wheat and the Weeds: The parable provides a message of judgment and separation from the world. The metaphors used in the parable like sower, good seeds, bad seeds, the enemies, the reapers and the harvest. The parable highlights that there are both types of people in the society some of them are good while the others are bad and the angels take the decisions as commanded by Jesus.
