Become better informed about your career goal. How much do you know about your chosen career? You might find it helpful to look up some basic information about it in a resource such as the Occupational Outlook Handbook . Look up your chosen career or one you’re interested in. Then write down information on the following: (1) description of the work, (2) typical places of employment, (3) educational and entry requirements, and (4) employment outlook. This exercise should give you a more realistic view of your career goal and how to prepare for it.
