In this activity you will configure your ASA 5505 for a clientless VPN for accessing the Internal Webserver
Pre-testing
From External Server attempt to browse to the ASA 5505 at https://192.168.1.17
The request will timeout.
From the CLI of the ASA 5505, update the firewall configuration. Step 1 -- Enable the webvpn on the outside interface
webvpn
enable outside
Step 2 -- Create two users
username fred password flintstone
username barney password rubble
Configure the WebVPN from the Config page of the ASA 5505 Step 1 -- Add Bookmarks for the two Users
Click On Bookmark Manager
Enter Bookrmark Title: BarneyBookMarks
Enter URL http://172.16.1.100
Click Add
Enter Bookrmark Title: FredBookMarks
Enter URL http://172.16.1.100
Click Add
Step 2 -- Configure Bookmarks for the Users
Click on User Manager
Select Username: Barney
Select Bookmark: BarneyBookMarks
Enter Profile Name: Profile1
Enter Group Policy: Policy1
Click Set
Select Username: Fred
Select Bookmark: FredBookMarks
Enter Profile Name: Profile2
Enter Group Policy: Policy2
Click Set
Save the Config on the ASA Post-testing
From External Server attempt to browse to the ASA 5505 at https://192.168.1.17
You will receive a login prompt.
Log in as barney with password rubble. Observe that you receive Barney's Bookmarks. Click on the bookmark link to see the connection to the ABC Web server.
(If you see the ABC Web Server right away, click "Home" to return to bookmark page.)
Log in as fred with password flintstone. Observe that you receive Fred's Bookmarks. Click on the bookmark link to see the connection to the ABC Web server.
Check to see that your activity is complete. Save and submit on Blackboard
