States’ Rights and pages 891-897; 931-946 of Schaller, et. al., American Horizons: What were the most important consequences, intended and unintended, of James Meredith’s desegregation of Ole Miss. Think in terms of its impact on the state of Mississippi, on race relations, and on the movement for African American civil rights.
