Making an ethical decision would seem to be straight-forward: Consider the potential consequences of the decision, determine the options, and then act based on sound ethical principles. Yet many organizations fail to act ethically, often because individual decision makers are swayed by powerful forces within the culture of the organization to act in ways incongruent with sound ethical principles. In Chapter 3 ofMoral Leadership, Messick (2006) wrote about forces that act on decision makers, identifying three specific barriers to ethical judgement and moral leadership. Critically analyze and evaluate these barriers and Messick’s arguments about how and why they occur, applying your understanding of the barriers to your own workplace or to an organization with which you are familiar.

However, the study discussed the leadership of ethical and moral factor and also outlined the barriers of Messick for moral leadership and ethical judgements in an organisation. Further, the three barriers were explain
ed such as ethical fading, conceptualising ethics and need for moral courage. The organisational culture, teamwork and decision making process was negatively impacted due to these barriers. Furthermore, the recommendations were made in order to overcome the barriers of Messick.

Introduction
Moral leadership is stated as the potential of the strong leader in order to make the decisions and accept the consequences of such decisions. Moral leadership provides values and meaning for people to live by, motivation to hold oneself accountable and inspiration to act. The current study will outline the ethical decisions in the organisation which will include the implications, challenges consisting of Messiks three barriers to ethical judgement and moral leadership. Further, it will seek address to the impact of these barriers on organisation and application of understanding. Finally, it will make recommendations in order to enhance the moral leadership.
Ethical decisions and barriers
As stated by Kim and Loewenstein (2021) ethical decision is considered as one of the engender trust and hence this indicates the care, fairness and responsibility of an individual. Decision making in an ethical consideration requires a review of various options mitigating the unethical standpoint and when choosing the alternative of best ethical aspects. Ethical decision making refers to the procedure of evaluating and choosing among different circuit used in a manner consistent with principles of ethical factor. While making the decision is ethically it is important to perceive and eliminate unethical options and selecting the best which is suitable for everyone.
Ethical leadership is one of the major topics that have gained in popularity over the past two decades. Moral leadership and ethical judgement are valuable features that allowed the effective running of organisational operations.
