Task Details Task In Australia, like in most developed countries, the topic of diversity has increasingly been discussed in the context of society, communities, and organisations. Managers and employees are being urged to recognise and value diversity, and many are pursuing active programs to improve the workplace environment for diversity. However, inequalities and challenges still exist for some groups within the workforce. In this assessment, you have the opportunity to explore a specific diversity issue (gender) and learn more about how organisations and managers can improve equalities within the work environment. Within your assignment, please address the four points/questions below. You should start your discussion with the main diversity issues that we discussed in class, then MAN105 Introduction to Management Page 2 focus your attention on gender diversity issues, followed by a discussion of management approaches, and use an Australian company as an example to discuss how they address gender diversity by using information available via their website. Such ‘upside down’ pyramid approach from a broad topic discussion to a more specific, is a common approach within essays as it provides a structure and good flow for the reader. What are the main diversity issues that still exists within workplaces? What are the issues around gender diversity in organisations or industry sectors? How can organisations and managers address such issues in order to provide more equal work environments? Identify an Australian company that provides diversity information on their website and discuss how this company addresses gender diversity.
