1. 1. In the case of Timmy, because he put in a lot of effort throughout his high school career, and he was very certain that when he'll submit applications to colleges that are members of the Ivy League, he'll get selected for sure, he thought to himself that he'll have no problem getting into any of those colleges. However, contrary to his expectations, he was unable in persuading any of them to accept him as a member of their group. My first thought when I was presented with this scenario was that perhaps Timmy hadn't been putting in the kind of effort that was required of him, which is why he wasn't able to pass the relevant examinations. But after applying sociological imagination, it seems to be a case of inequalities where may be due to the social, political, and influence differences, even after Timmy's hard work he fails as the others with power and influence change the rules and keep winning.
