At the opening faculty meeting for the school
year, a dynamic speaker was invited to kick off
the year. In his presentation, he referenced the
principal as being “the boss, the ultimate decision
maker.” In a number of previous meetings with
the faculty, the principal had spent time discussing
collaborative leadership, and enhancing that concept was her purpose for inviting this speaker. In
order for the faculty to understand the benefits to
be derived from a collaborative leadership style,
the speaker could have spoken about:
a. The concept of self-efficacy.
b. Building the collective efficacy of faculty
members.
c. The correctness of the concept that the
principal is “the boss, the ultimate decision
maker.”
d. The concept that the faculty should follow
their leader.
