Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper that describes an overview of CAM and its categories of treatments. Ensure you:  • Compare and contrast current conventional medicine regulations and oversights with regulation and oversight of alternative medicine in the United States. • Define the terms alternative, complementary, and integrative in relation to medicine and discuss how these terms differ from one another. • Describe how conventional medicine plays a role in alternative, complementary, and integrative medicine. • Discuss the philosophy of CAM and how it is similar to or different from the approach of conventional Western medicine. • Select one CAM therapy from among the alternative medicine approaches and describe how it can be used to treat a medical condition you choose. Traditional medicines are the conventional therapy where the practioners focus on a particular organ by treating it with either the u
se of drugs or surgery and it was proven experimentally for its safe and effective.
Alternative, Complementary, and Integrative Therapy:
The term alternate therapies is categorised with complementary therapy under CAM. Whereas, the alternate therapies are non-traditional focus on the cause, prevention and overall health. This alternate therapies has gained importance in US and the advantages are the alternate therapies are less expensive and use natural remedies for treatment [1]. The  usage of alternative therapies in United States has increased d from 33.8% to 42.1 % in 1990 [1].The most common alternative therapies in use are prayer, yoga, nutritional diet therapies, meditation, relaxation etc.
The alternate therapies lack experimental evidence complementary therapy is the usage of the allopathy medicine used in combination with the traditional therapies whereas the alternative medicine is the alternate approach used in place of conventional therapy. The integrative medicine is the combination of complementary therapies with conventional care [1].
