Cialdini’s Principles of Persuasion get its inscription from a book “Influence: The Psych
ology of Persuasion” wrote by Dr. Robert B. Cialdini in the year 1984. These 6 principles got its application widely in internet marketing. These six principles comprise of magic to persuade casual visitors into buyers.
Let us a brief description of each of the principles:
1. Reciprocity: The idea of the principle of reciprocity means that human being never keeps favors. They have the tendency to return the favor as they consider it to be debt. This is what this principle is using where marketers are providing discounts or concessions to the people who are doing favors by visiting the website. For example, if we have lot of free visitors at our website, and our website gives information on how to improve their lives. What we do is trying to provide attractive offerings to persuade people to buy on that information of development. Let us take a practical example where this principle of Reciprocity applies.
This is the example of the website BACKLINKO where we can see the blogger is giving free information, suggestions, tips to all the free visitors but he is going to provide training, exclusive SEO tips to only paid subscribers.
