Assignment One – Target Market and CTA
Prepared for Direct Marketing
Based on your learnings to date both within this class as well as
prerequisite courses, please complete the following assignment individually.
The report should be written in report form. You can use bullet points for
lists but otherwise your reasoning should be delivered in paragraph form. In
cases where you use external sources for information you must source where you
have collected the information from.
Overview
This assignment, 1A, is aimed to give you an excellent head start to
your Direct Mail Assignment 1B. In fact, the work that you do in Assignment 1A
will be graded and you will be given feedback that you can then use to submit
your updated work as part of assignment 1B.
For this assignment you will fully prepare a target market profile for
the market segment you would like to target for Kitchener Waterloo
Baseball. This target market will provide an overview from a Demographic,
Psychographic and Behavioural perspective. For this assignment Geographic
segmentation will be left blank. The target market will be very specific
so that it can be used for Direct Marketing purposes.
You can choose to either submit your target market profile in a Word
Document with Demographic, Psychographic and Behavioural as headings OR you can
use the PowerPoint Template provided in Assignment 1B to outline who you will
be targeting.
Once you have determined the market that you suggest Kitchener Waterloo
Baseball target, you will then share the offer and the call to action that you
believe will be effective in causing your target market to take a specific
action. Please use the heading "Offer" and outline what your
offer will be and then use the heading "Call To Action" and outline the
one sentence call to action that you believe will motivate your target market
to take action.

start this assignment as this assignment is a part of assignment 1B
