Being a marketing manager interviewing for new jobs at different firms simultaneously, the three
companies that I would target for researc
h are McDonalds, Dell and Apple. The market for
McDonalds seems to be saturated in the developed countries of US and UK due to the high
presence of brand. So the major opportunity for MCD as of now lies in the emerging countries of
Asia. The company has been trying to make high presence in India adapting the environment and
culture of the company. To remain a cash cow in the food business, the company needs to
penetrate deeper into the countries like India, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok etc. This
will help the global system of the company to be energized by the ongoing momentum and along
with significant growth opportunities in the Asian Scenario. The marketing opportunity would be
described as low hanging fruit due to the current ability, strong presence and equity of the brand.
Also another marketing opportunity for McDonalds would be to come up with separate dining
restaurants in US. This would definitely be a homerun opportunity for McDonalds targeting the
known markets in as different segment which can lead to unanticipated numbers. The downside
of this project can lead to significant losses and material effect on the financial position of the
