The leadership style of every leader is different, some of them work with respect to the espoused theories while some pave their ways to new techniques of leadership. An espoused way is the way which is known to all and is ideal. Here, I will explain about my leadership style and why and how his style is similar to the espoused theory in some aspect and different in others. Theorists like Argyris and Achon had described that the mental map of actions is the theory in use while the beliefs about the actions are the espoused theories (North house et al., 2021).
One of the most important characteristic of a leader is self-awareness, the espoused way of leadership suggest that the leader should always be aware of their surroundings, their action and the consequences of their actions. As an educational leader in a low performing school, the most important aspect that I am willing to introduce in my leadership style is to be aware of y surrounding. Observing the areas that require attention and changes will be my prime focus. With my leadership, I will understand about the situation and implement the changes (Hernandez et al., 2011).
