Introduction
Sociology has much more in common with economics, political science, anthropology and psychology, as all tends to share an interest in society and social behaviour. Furthermore, it can
be stated that views from different sociologist have mainly formed the foundation for what people understand as theoretical perspectives. Furthermore, these perspectives tend to provide sociologists with a universal infrastructure that is referred to as a philosophical position which is used for asking specific types of questions about the people and society. On the other hand, religion is mainly thought to be one of the most vital components in society by sociologist Karl Marx, Max Weber, etc. Throwing light on the above-mentioned discussion it can be stated that despite of having various views on religion within a society within a society, they also shared a common belief in the significance of religion as well as its place in the entire globe.
Part A
Structural functionalism-
Functionalism is basically a system of thinking that is mainly based on the ideas of Emily Durkheim that directly looks at the society from a huge scale perspective. Furthermore, it also tends to examine the required structures that make up a society as well as how each part helps in terms of keeping a society stable. Society at present is going towards the equilibrium as per the functionalism. It is speculated by the functionalists that every society is joined together mainly by a social consensus and at the same time were the people will be deciding on the best results for society as a whole and also work with each other for achieving goals (Nisbet, 2017).
