Regression
This assignment is comprised of a series of short answer questions and a business case for statistical analysis. The assignment consists of providing analysis for the specific business case and presenting your findings as a Tableau Story. You will provide descriptive statistics, scatter plots, and predictive analytics. This will require you to develop hypothesis for testing and to identify the appropriate statistical test. You will use alpha=.05 when interpreting the results of your analysis.
PART A:
1. Based on the
GMac’s Place
data set,
· What do high income restaurant customers want (prefer) in their restaurant experience?
· What attributes or factors are most important when designing a restaurant? (provide descriptive statistics and plots to support your answer)
2. Describe the distribution of total expenditures and the relationship between total expenditures and other demographic variables.
· Is there a correlation between demographics and expenditures?
· Is this a causal relationship? (Explain)
PART B:
Provide descriptive statistics, scatter plots, and regression analysis to predict patronage for the new restaurant.
Write a brief report and
recommend a specific design for Gmac’s Place.
Support your recommendation with data and graphs from your analysis using Tableau.
Be sure you provide a written recommendation for the restaurant design.
Length:
Part A (5 pts): 3-page short answers with visual and data analytics
Part B (15 pts): Tableau story with descriptive statistics, scatter plots, the regression line, and the equation. Interpretation of results and a report with your recommendation for the restaurant’s design.
