Denial, Anger, and Depression
    An individual or a human is full of different emotions that arise based on the situation one is facing and the moments he is e
njoying. In the work by Corr it is highlighted that there are five stages that lead an individual to death or dying phase. However, these phases are also experienced by an individual when faced with the situations that are hard to accept, for instance, injury, loss, divorce, etc. It is important to understand that any of the stages can lead to difficult times and inability to go through the life in a normal manner.
    Through the reflection I have focused on the three specific stages that I have undergone i.e. denial, anger, and depression. I reflect on the ways these three stages made home in my mind and heart and how they have affected my life. The onset of depression due to the challenges faced at school and the denial of weight issues led to the development of anger. The outcome of these situations has been a negative impact on my life, which in turn, has made situations worse.
Depression is a stage where one loses interest in the activities of life and feels satisfied when confined to the known settings. It is also the stage when the person suffering with depression likes to avoid everyone unless otherwise. I have been suffering with depression since the time I was in Middle School. The trigger for the depression I have has been the fact that I was subjected to constant bullying in school, which led to low self-esteem. I was constantly bullied by not just my seniors but also my batchmates. They made fun of my outfits and also of the fact that I was overweight. I was unable to participate in the sports activities due to my fear of failing and then getting bullied even more. Moreover, I felt that everyone else was better than me and that led to the trigger of depression resulting from stress. The peer pressure and the parental pressure further worsened...
