Assignment 3 - Report

Although you worked in a team for your presentation, your personal experience and perspective on how the team functioned to complete the project will be unique. To consolidate your learning, each team member must submit their own individual report. In this report, you will academically-reflect on what you learned about managing and working in diverse groups.

Use the following template and prompt questions to structure your academically-reflective report. However, these questions should not be used as either headers or text in the body of your report. Remember to use credible, academic references to support your explanations and discussion.

Make sure to signal ahead the road-map, or topics this essay will cover.

Establishing the group

Questions to consider:

· How did the group form? We meet ones in the class before we turn ti the online studying and we swap numbers

· What did the group do to build a sense of teamwork? They just bring the stressful in my life

· Did the group select a ‘leader’ or did one person elect them self as ‘leader’? There was no leader to the group, but I put my-self as a leader because if I was not running after them to start the work, they were not going to start at all.

· How did the group delegate roles and responsibilities? We are 4 members in the group, I volunteered to start working so I wrote the questions, and I said I can found a manager to talk with, but one of the members said they have a manager in their family. So, we agreed to let her do the interview.

· Did the group consider how best to use the members’ skills and knowledge? NO

Team processes

Questions to consider:

  • How did the group communicate? What technology was used? Was the communication effective? We created a group on the WhatsApp app as we create a google doc to share the information we have. The communication was not effective, because no one had the intention to answer or to start working.

  • Did the group establish rules or protocols for behaviour? How did you manage noncompliance with the group's protocols? There were no protocols; it was a challenging time communicating with others.

  • Did the team change its processes over time? Before one week of the submission, they start to collaborate a little better.

  • Did the group seek feedback and undertake any research to test theories explored? They did not seek any feedback, but they said they want to do some research.

Strengths and challenges

Questions to consider:

  • How diverse was your group? we all from different background and different culture.

  • Can you identify the aspects of diversity that applied to your group? Different background and different culture, different interest and different goals.

  • How did these aspects (e.g. culture, gender) impact how you worked together? Usually, these differences will not be a problem in a group. Our real problem was in the way we communicate. it was really so difficult to communicate with people I cannot see, I do not know them, and I can not hear an answer from them.

  • Describe how the diversity of the group strengthened or challenged your ability to complete the assignment? The work has to be done on time. so I started working so hard to make my group members start to communicate and I did most of the thing that it has to be done in the first step. So, I wrote the question then I provided some references.

Equal Contribution Policy

Questions to consider:

· How did the group use the ‘Equal Contribution’ Policy in this assessment? to I do not believe that they used the ‘Equal Contribution’.

· Did the policy help to ensure an equitable contribution or was some other factor more responsible? Be honest I am not sure if we had worked was Equal Contribution. Because it was hard to hear answers from the first member and the second was just perfect to say ok and great about everything; however, the third member collaborated in the interview and in the presentation.

Conclusion

Sum up what the team did well and what they should do differently if working together again.

The conclusion should bring together the overall experience of the assignment together with your critical reflections.

Introduction:
A team can be defined as a group of people who are working together to achieve a common goal. I am the leader of my team and as a result I have got huge responsibility in my shoul
der. The role of the leader is immense starting from motivating all the members of the group to ensuring them to work as a team and leading the way to the objective.
We had 4 members in the group and each of the members had their own responsibilities. The four roles are leader/facilitator, monitor/attributor, time keeping / note taker and the mediator. While the job of the leader is to lead the group, the role of the monitor is to observe the functioning of the group and arrange group discussions to clear out any misunderstandings. The role of the note taker is to note the progresses, summarize the discussions and keep a track of the time of the project. The role of the mediator is to listen to all the problems and seek for solutions and ensure all arguments are heard before taking any decision. In order to access the efficiency of our group we used Rubin, Plotnick, and Fry’s GRPI Model of Team Effectiveness (2013) where the efficiency is measured by the goal, role, process and interpersonal relationships between the group members (Raue,2013).
The paper will also discuss about methodology of forming the group, team process, their strengths and weaknesses, equal contribution policy and end with the conclusion.
Establishing group:
After we decided to interview HR and make a presentation, all four of us met in the class and started discussing about it. Then we exchanged numbers and created a WhatsApp group. Although we were working together but there was not sense of teamwork among the members. We even did not decide who was going to be the leader as a result nobody was working. So, I took the charge to be the leader and allocated their respective roles. As the leader I started of with the primary question and answers for the interview. As...
