Introduction
Public relations are a term that is used by the business organizations to manage the
relationship with the customers along with community people. Therefore, it works as the
management practice of spreading the valuable information between the organiza
tions and the
related public (L'Etang & Pieczka, 2006). It generally includes the goals of the organizations that
gain the exposures from their related communities by using the interesting topics in the context
of the public that do not needs the payment.
The main aim of public relations (PRs) is to hold the public, stakeholders, working
employees, financial investors along with the business partners for accomplishing the personal
objectives such as market leadership, sustainability of products, or making new business
decisions about the significance and effectiveness of organizations in the market. Hence, it also
integrates the entire marketing strategy of organizations (Grunig, Grunig & Toth, 2007). For
accomplishing this research, Toyota is selected because it is a non profitable organization in the
country of US. Hence, this paper would also describe the mission and purpose of the
organization and its negative publicity. This paper would also describe the campaign for trying to
reduce the negative impact of PR.

requirement that would enrich the lives of people with the help of every possible safety measure
in more responsible ways.
Therefore, the purpose of Toyota is to become the most successful and respected
automobile organization in the automobile industry of America (Toyota Motor North America,
Inc., 2013). Hence, Toyota has improved its strategies related to business practices for covering
the US market. It is also proved by its dramatic growth in the US (Harvard Business School,
2003). Toyota also produces several automobile vehicles such as Camry, Lexus luxury brand,
Corolla, and Toyota trucks.
Situation related to Negative Publicity
The organization Toyota faces several problems due to the technical errors in its existing
manufacturing systems. The organization faces the major problems due to the less effective
brake system, break of the wipers at the time of its uses, problems related to gas pedals, itchy
floor mats, and less effective work of air bags and warning lights (Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A.,
Inc., 2013). These problems raise the safety concerns for the management of Toyota because the
issues related to safety directly influences the life of automobile users negatively.
The less effective working of gas pedal accelerates the Toyota automobile such as a car
that makes major accidents. Sometime, the customer could not be able to use the gas pedal
