Assessment Title: Report Task Description: Students are required to analyse the caring culture within your specialty area of practice. From this analysis you need to propose a potential project that will have a positive impact on improving the caring culture within this practice environment. Your report should include:  An overview of your specialty practice area that highlights practice changes over the last 5 to 10 year and their impact on nursing care.  Evidence of the understanding of the context of the practice setting from a person-centred perspective  Evidence of findings from observation and / or the stories from people receiving care and / or their carers  Analysis of the current caring culture using recognised tool/s  Recommendations for improvements to the caring culture This assessment should be written as a report with formal headings. The specialty area of practice is Isolation ward in public hospital in Hong Kong The specialty practice area that I would like to focus on would be hand hygiene practices (application of 5 moments of Hand Hygiene) and Isolation facilities (use of isolation rooms, the time for patient to be isolated) before and after SARS Evidence of finding from observation ( Using the fifteen steps challenge-- Part of Productive Carefor use in East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Practice Development) Analysis of the current care culture using recognised tool/s (Effective workplace culture framework by Kim Manley) Introduction -- 250 words Background (introduce specialty in practice) -- 500 words Person centredness in your area of practice -- 500 words Observation (positive first) and story and patient experiences -- 500 words Analysis of caring culture -- 500 words Conclusion/Recommendations -- 750 words
