Refer to and read the policies and procedures saved in a separate folder; and Appendix 1 at the end of this document. You have been recently engaged by XYZ Pty Ltd trading as MMI as a Project Manager to develop and implement a project to open a new campus in Sydney (refer to MMI strategic objectives). The CEO values your project management expertise that extends to change management. She asked you to develop a sustainability policy for the project team and then plan and manage its implementation for the rest of the organisation. The project steering committee is composed of: · Mr Eli Brown – Non-executive Director · Mr Leonard Black - CFO · Academic Manager (Jacob Graham) The project sponsor is Taylor Varin (Client Service Manager), played by the trainer and assessor in a simulated work environment. This task comprises of product methods of assessment and observation from the trainer and assessor in a simulated work environment. Negotiate any change to the sustainability policy and the implementation plan and apply those changes to your work before submission Complete the following activities: Task 2 Develop a Sustainability Policy For this task, you are required to develop a sustainability policy for the project team to be implemented in the organisation described in Appendix 1. 2.1 Define the scope of the sustainability policy a) Read the case study information provided (Appendix 1) and determine all legislative and regulatory documents that describe compliance requirements for the organisation (4-5). b) Research for sustainability best practice models used by similar organisations and in project management, summarise the findings of your research (50-100 words). c) Develop three options for the direction and focus of the policy and consider: · the likely effectiveness · timeframe · sustainability as a value add for the business · cost of implementing the option.
