ASSESSMENT TASK 1 – STUDENT INFORMATION For this Assessment Task, as a Case Study, in the role of the Head Chef for AVETA’s Café, you will be required to satisfactorily complete Assessment Activities 1A & 1B as detailed below: Assessment Activity 1A. For this Assessment Activity, you will be required to analyse and research a business’s vision, mission, values, objectives, goals, competitors, financial targets, management arrangements, marketing approaches and strategic, business and operational plans for AVETA’s Café (see - Attachment A). Once you have analysed AVETA’s Café Business Plan 2019/2020, you then will be required to write a 2019/2020 Management Report outling the following points: Interpreting the business’s vision, mission, values and objectives Review market requirements for the product or service, profile customer needs and research pricing options Identify financial, human and physical resource requirements for the business Consider any permits or licenses that may be required for the Café Provide an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the business plan Once you have developed your Draft Management Report show it to your Trainer for feedback; incorporate any changes you believe are appropriate and then develop performance objectives and measures through consultation with key stakeholders (your Assessor will role-play one of the key stakeholders for this activity). When you have finished, with your Stakeholder (Assessor) consultation develop a final version of your Management Report and submit it to your Assessor as evidence for summative assessment. Once your Assessor has confirmed that your Management Report is satisfactory, you then will be required to develop AVETA’s Café Business Plan for 2020/2021.
