Introduction:
First seven years of life are vital as each individual child’s future development as well as humanity depends on the experiences attained during this time. Social competence as well as healthy development can be achieved by providing a loving atmosphere with warmth and guidance which tends to promote joy and wonder. Healthy child development takes place only if the community is based on healthy social relationships among children, parents and teachers. With the development of social competence, children can easily relate to others such that they extend and enrich their learning (Kostelnik et al, 2015). Nurturing emotional well being of a children followed by helping him/her to develop appropriate behavior understanding can be done efficiently by the teacher. Social and emotional health of children affects overall learning and development of them. As per research, mentally healthy children are happier and have a positive attitude towards school along with high learning motivation. Also, they demonstrate better academic performance and participate more eagerly in class activities compared to the ones who are less healthy mentally (Hyson 2004).Top of Form
