Project Background:

TechiTak Pty Ltd is a Sydney based IT solution company. The main role of the company is to provide various types of IT solution to their clients. It supplies required hardware such as computers, network devices, printer and scanner as per client’s requirement. They provide IT support to setup IT infrastructure and networking solution. In addition to hardware and networking solution the company also provides software/application solution as well. Such as installing required OS and applications that are required by the client to perform day to day activity.

In recent times, TechiTak has secured a large project called “My School” after they have negotiated a deal with fifty schools across Sydney region. The project requires TechiTek to setup one computer lab for each of the schools, which will be used by the students for Science, Mathemetics and Computing courses. Some of the specific requirements (not limited to) that the school authorities have indicated are following:

  Each lab should have 20 computers and 20 handheld devices such as iPads,

  Windows 10 operating system for the computers,

  Office applications such as Micrsoft Office,

  
  


• 
  

  Subscription for online Science resources and simulation portal such as PraxiLabs and PhET,

  
  


• 
  

  Mathletics app on each of the iPads including subscription,

  
  


• 
  

  Required network setup for the lab to be connected to existing school intranet and internet,

  A Website, through which all the schools can collaborate and display news, events, notifications and can display school’s and students’ achievement highlights, and

  The schools need this Lab to be completely functional before the next session starts, I.e. in Two months time.
  

  
  

You are an employee of TechiTak. The company has designated you as a Project Manager and has asked you to form a small team to implement and deliver the project on due time.

Assignment Submission Requirements

Students are required to form a small group of 3 - 4 persons. Each group should prepare the deliverables described in table below and submit it to corresponding submission folder through the KOI moodle portal.
The weight of the assignment is 25% of the overall marks of the unit. Please NOTE that different components of the assignment has different deadline. Starting from Week 3, each group should upload required document/s using appropriate submission folder on the moodle.

Submission of the Complete Project Plan must be made using Turnitin submission folder available on the course moodle page. Appropriate citation using Harvard referencing technique must be used where application. Plagiarism of the assignment submission will be considered as academic misconduct and may result in penalty.
