Assessment 2 - Online discussion & debate Each student will be assessed for their responses to the 2 Online Blogs in Blackboard. Your responses and interactions should be informed by the scholarly literature and professional experiences. Blog B In the last Blog you discussed whether the older people you encounter in your practice are healthy ageing. Blog B requires you to once again reflect on your practice working as a registered nursing in the nursing home. Select at least one functional area in relation supporting wellness in older people and address the following question, “What strategies do you use to facilitate (or would be appropriate to support) the functional wellness of older people you encounter in your practice?” In this Blog you are expected to demonstrate an understanding of ageing factors, risk factors and functional consequences for one functional area and relate this understanding to strategies used or could be used in your practice (your service, within your role, and the older people you encounter in your practice) to support functional wellness of older people. "functional area" refers to cognition, mobility, vision and hearing, continence and Impaired cognition: Depression. can you please select impaired cognition: depression because i had one of my residents i am looking after had expressed his thoughts about commiting suicides few times. he said he rather dies because being in a locked up place for long is not a life at all.
