Assessment Structure Evidence Based Clinical Nursing case study 2250 words • Introduction: This should introduce the paper i.e. what the structure of your paper is. Introduce the scenario and explain the presenting condition. For example, if it is asthma you would briefly explain what asthma is and it’s prevalence in children and adolescents using the literature to evidence this. It should not be a copy of the wording of the case study. • Description of the assessment: This should be a brief description of the holistic (bio, psycho, social) assessment on the child, that you would need to undertake to determine the problems, e.g. Performing urinalysis is part of assessment- if the urine sample shows bacteria or a high specific gravity, then giving antibiotics or increasing fluids is part of the management. • Critique, discussion and rationale of the clinical nursing management: Answer the questions. Discuss the rationale and intervention for the concerns that you have determined using evidenced based research and practice. Explain the associated altered anatomy and physiology. Include any medications you think may be used or could be prescribed if applicable. • Application of evidence based practice. What does the current literature support and why? Identify key concepts that inform evidence based interventions. • Summary and evaluation of nursing care: This is where you will evaluate the efficacy of the nursing care and interventions given - i.e. what impact would the care have on the child and family. • Conclusion: This is a conclusion of the interventions and what the student has learned from the process. How will this knowledge enhance your future professional practice? Information regarding the assessment is located in Blackboard NCS3101 and is accessed under the assessments heading
