COMR2004 - Industry Placement – Modified Assessment 1 Brief Page 2 of 8 As a starting point for your research, use: a. The Australian Securities Exchange website at www.asx.com.au b. IBISWorld at https://library.torrens.edu.au/business. In addition, research as many other credible and reliable sources as you can. Your report is to consist of 3 PARTS: 1. In your report you are to provide an Introduction incorporating the following background information to the organisation. Research, analyse and report on: i. The organisation and the industry within which It operates. ii. Any events, incidents, controversies and any other positive or negative press regarding the organisation. Search the media to find the information. iii. Key executives within the organisation (such as founders, directors, managers) to determine their background, interests, achievements, and connections. iv. The organisation’s competitors. v. The organisation’s employees. Provide as much information about the organisation as you can, as you would research if seeking employment with the organisation. 2. See the Assessment 1 Resources in Discussion Forum DF5. Prepare a report on your research with appendices and sources of information. Do not simply regurgitate the articles and data or provide only a description. You need to analyse and interpret the information and present it in a professional, succinct and informative manner.
