ASSESSMENT 1. Individual writing task 25%.The writing task consists of a combination of short written answers based on lecture material, the relevant Bible readings, and the essential reading for the topic Climate, environment & stewardship (from Lionel Windsor. Is God Green?), and your response to questions about a ‘real-life’ climate change, environmental, or sustainability stewardship text.Ideas to consider during your preparation discussion include:1. Who is responsible for environmental care and why?2. What can individuals do daily, what can households do weekly, what can neighbourhoods and local communities and councils do?3. Think about consequences of practical choices, e.g. purchasing, packaging, eating, recycling, origin of consumer products; what areas of responsibility do you personally steward (look after/manage/care for/mind)?4. What will you steward in your professional life?5. Particularly looking at Genesis 1& 2 from the Bible (text will be provided), which aspects of life does God ask humans to look after? What do learn about God from this story?6. How does God’s instruction to humans to care for Creation change what you think or about the environment and stewardship? There is not always a clear right or wrong answer to all of these issues. Youare assessed on your reasoning, your ability to explain why you think as you do, and evidence drawn from the Biblical sources that support your answer.Regarding academic integrity and not plagiarising (sharing work or cheating) we would not expect two students to have the same answer because the assessment is about your individual response to an issue.

Global waste management is taking a serious toll over the environment because of the improper waste disposal. An estimate of around 8 million tonnes of plastic is dumped every year into the ocean, which is leading to the degradation of the marine habitat, and affecting the aquatic organisms. Similarly, dumping of plastic over the open fields and burning them is also leading to the increased soil pollution, air pollution and also, they became the carrier of various types of disease (Al-Ghussain, 2019).
Hence, in order to address this grim global situation, it is necessary to monitor the human attitudes in a broader perspective, which is contributing towards the global warming. Humans are the one who must take responsibility in addressing this issue by changing the manner in which they live. For example, the appropriate use of the available resources including the fuels, proper management in lifestyle, where the waste management can be done in a proper manner, the involvement of human society at different levels, such as local level, national level and the international level to address this issue.
Activities of Human to Control Wastage

At the local level these initiatives can be taken by the local government, educational institutions, and NGOs who take responsibility in imparting education.
