n Christian Youth Center was founded in 1975 by Jerry Brentham and Roy Wood.
The mission of the Center is to promote Christian values as well as provide care by educating
and providing recreation so as to enhance the potential of the youths. The Center intends to
provide directions to youths and also provide constructive alternatives to those who engage in
crimes and drug abuse. Today the Center serves nearly 1,200 students per annum who participate
in recreational activities and programs throughout the year (Belton Christian Youth Center,
2012).
Profitability Within Industry
Belton Christian Youth Center (BCYC) has managed to provide exciting opportunities
for children especially during the summer and after school every day. There are various games,
devotions and activities in offer for children to participate in. According to Faarup (2010), the
profitability of an organization can be measured with its ability to satisfy the needs of the
customers and BCYC has managed to provide care and instill Christian values to children. The
center is able to offer recreational programs and activities for children and youths in different
ages.
Threats of Entry
The threats of the Center can be base on forces such as other Centers that are already
established and can offer individualized service to large number of students. Additionally, due to
large numbers of youths who are idle, there are more and more centers that are entering the
