1. Introduction to Review of the Book
Domestic violence is one of the most serious issues, which is existent in almost all countries. Irrespective of its seriousness, the lack of awareness and initiative from the people has led to a more devastating situation presently. In the book written by Batty and Corbett (2015), the story of Rosie Batty has shown us the real grim situation because of people face and the loss they have to suffer. Rosie Batty had written this book for the sole purpose to tell her story and the suffering she faced. She was an Australian single mother used to care of her only son Luke, and both of them are staying together after Rosie left her abusive relationship behind. On February 2014, Greg Anderson, the troubled ex-partner of Rosie, killed Luke in a horrendous attack at a local cricket ground. Later, Greg was shot by police at Tyabb cricket oval.
Rosie after suffering years of abuse and family violence had tried hard to protect herself and her only son form Greg. However, after the incident Rosie believes that the killing was the final act of power and control of Greg over her. The part of this book, which was written by Rosie Batty as to attract that person after understanding the fact, is silence is not always the right way to make things good. A person must know when and how to protest and that must be done at right time before it becomes too late.

Rosie Batty tried to argue through the facts presented in the book that the domestic violence lies within the society because it is the society, which decides how a person can be treated. The cultural aspect of the society is the major aspect that highlighted the situation of the society as a whole (Hill, 2019).
