As you think of this difficult period of time in the previous exercise, write out what were the strengths inside of you (traits, thoughts, feel-ings, etc.) and outside of you (environmental supports such as social supports, philosophies, reading materials, etc.) that assisted you (or would assist you) in surviving the experience. What provided you with a sense of hope? Then, shift to the present and answer the question: "What is right about me?"
