Reflective Journal
At the outset, the objective of this reflective journal is to present the overall earning
experience and implications of undertaking two exercise as part of this course. In one of these
exercise a research proposal was developed by identifying specific research topic, identifying
suitable topic in the context of a specific problem statement and developing the objective,
relevant research questions to be addressed, overall research design and research methods,
around the identified topic, etc. The other exercise involved the undertaking of a detailed
literature review and presenting the same with an aim to determining the gaps in the literature
that shall be addressed by this specific study proposed.
In this context, at a broader level, the overall learning experience can be said to be highly
beneficial for me at multiple levels from an academic, knowledge, practical and broader
problem solving perspectives. The overall journey from being assigned with these exercise
and me pursuing the same across various and finally completing the work was marked by
learning of various nature and levels. In essence, the learning experience had been highly
effective and transformative in nature. The overall value of this learning experience
broadened my perspectives in terms of the manner and approach by research studies can be
planned and undertaken in a critical and detailed manner, the broadening of the knowledge
with respect to the academic, conceptual, theoretical and industry level expertise concerning
the specific knowledge areas and from an analytical and critical problem solving abilities
perspectives as well the learning experience was highly beneficial. Beyond this, the greater
benefit of the exercise was the developing a mindset and an ability to approach problems /
objectives that are totally new and not pursued earlier to be studies, assessed, planned and
suitably design an approach to address the problem, undertake research and analysis and
finally finding suitable solutions...
