As we progress through the novel, we can see that the Second Civil war has erupted out over the use of fossil fuels. In the book "The Ministry of the Future" we see that it is a science fiction novel written by Kim Stanley Robinson. They discuss future global changes as well as sustainability equations of human beings in the globally warming world. When we look closely, we see four similarities between the novels "The American War" and "The Ministry of the Future." Both novels, "American War" by Omar El Akkad, and "The Ministry of the future" by Stanley Robinson, concentrate on the United States and the rest of the world.
