You presented a proposal and recommendations about a platform based on research you conducted about this specific platform. Now is your chance to present those findings about your ideas and recommendations. You will need the help of a willing friend, family member or work colleague or two. Task You need to have a conversation with one or more people. This conversation is for you to present your recommendations you made in your platform report. Requirements:  Get your message across  Tell a story to engage the audience  Use different approaches to try to get feedback, suggestions or opinions from the audience  Support your recommendations that you are arguing with facts  Be prepared to take risks in the discussion to get your desired point across  Use different methods of communication to articulate your point of view  Provoke or encourage responses from your audience  Respond to any questions  Think about any complementary or opposing ideas that are offered and decide to use, refine or reject them based on your argument  Be concise, don’t ramble You need access to a video and sound recording device to complete this assessment. Most mobile phones today are capable of this and you may need to borrow one if you do not own one. You are required to upload the video to the Portal. The video should be no more than 5 minutes. Grading criteria This assignment is assessed using a rubric. A rubric is a tool that uses a scale to assess the performance of participants’ skills when performing real world or authentic problem solving. Use this rubric when constructing your assignment. Your assessor will be marking your assignment based on the criteria in the table below. 1. Analyse ideas for communication to others, focusing on the key message and differing ways to present it 2. Provoke response and reaction by engaging and soliciting involvement 3. Use storytelling in innovative ways to overcome communication challenges 4. Take risks in the way ideas are presented 5. Respond to questions with confidence and relevant information and reflect and appraise the views of others to refine and embrace new ideas.
