Overview
The article effectively focuses on the impact of behavioral norms and expectations on the organizational culture. Research focuses on various sets of behavioral norms that are associated with the constructive and passive or defensive and aggressive or defensive cultural styles. The research paper elaborates the fact that there exist various cultures and they have characteristic differences within an organization (Balthazard, Cooke & Potter, 2006). However, these differences in cultures determine the behavior and norms in an organization. It is effectively shown that these cultures can explain the dysfunctional behavior which affects the values and mission of the organization. More specifically cultural differences within an organization can disrupt the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational professionalism and operation.
