Key aspect of negotiation and case analysis
This case was really interesting and it highlighted th
e very important aspects of negotiation. It is
an example of business to business negotiation between buyer and supplier where buyer was not
open initially however was then trapped by the supplier as supplier offered innovative ways of
concessions and opened up the negotiation.
One of the point to be noted here is that buyer looks unprepared, aggressive and also not
empowered enough. Although buyer knows very well about the product he is going to buy but he
was not very open for negotiation at least initially and arguing about saving 5000 bucks. On the
other hand, supplier looks well prepared. He offered the discount provided the buyer’s company
is agree for the 50% upfront payment and also...
