1. Virtue is one of the greatest qualities for the Greeks. They consider virtue as equivalent to the notion of excellence. Virtue can be described as a matter of appropriate attitude towards the notions of both pains as well as pleasure. According to Aristotle, virtue can be described as " the disposition to choose the mean, in both actions and passions. Virtue is a state of character which causes one to choose the intermediate ("they mean") between two extremes ("vices") (csus.edu). Aristotle describes the existence of two kinds of virtues. The first of them being intellectual virtue, and the second being moral virtue. Intellectual virtue can be described as the qualities of mind that can facilitate the notions of intellectual flourishing, critical thinking, and the pursuit of truth.
