This  assignment requires both individual and small group work. Groups should review the following  steps as they work to complete the annotated bibliography (Part 1):   1. The group will meet and discuss their movie choice + submit a request to the instructor  indicating rank order interest (1-3). The instructor will confirm each group’s movie  assignment.  2. The group will watch their assigned film and discuss research direction given the story  and content of the film and the character of interest, in this case – the identified client.   3. Each group member will select 3 scholarly, peer-reviewed articles focusing on a topic,  social issue, intervention, evidence-based practice, diagnosis, psychosocial concern, etc.  as presented in the film.  4. Each group member will write an annotated citations (adhering to APA standards) for  each article they have selected.   a. Paragraph 1: Summary of the article  b. Paragraph 2: How the article relates to the film  5. The group will combine all annotated citations and submit the assignment as one final  document. The group’s final submission will include three articles per student (e.g., a  group of 3 would submit 9 annotated citations in their bibliography).    6. The group should adhere to APA 7th Edition writing standards for the annotated  bibliography. Summary
	Child neglect and abuse have become an extremely common phenomenon during the critical times of the covid 19 pandemics. School systems, as well as youth-serving organisations, are two important means through which the incidences of child neglect and abuse get reported as well as addressed. Therefore, these two systems play a pivotal role in reducing the number of cases of child neglect in the domestic households of the people of the United States. However, in different regions of the United States, which is inclusive of Connecticut, California, Michigan, New Hampshire, Louisiana, and so on, despite the increase in the number of cases of child neglect and abuse, the reports of child maltreatment hotlines have decreased drastically. 
It is to be noted and considered that, the decrease in the number of reports does not suggest the reduction of the cases of child neglect. On the contrary, it suggests the severing of the connection between the children and the educational personnel and youth-serving organisations and programs. In this regard, the schools need to be proactive in identifying at-risk children, use specific vocabulary to address home environment safety and report suspected neglect and abuse to the authority.
