Analyze the victim's role in the crime process There is an association between crime and victimization, but the linkage is a matter ofsome debate. One view is that the people who are crime victims experience long-term negative consequences thatlead them to commit crime. It is also possible that victimization may produce anger, stress, and strain that results in their involvement in antisocial behavior. Victims may seek revenge against the people who harmed them or whom they believe are at fault for their problems. It is also possible that both criminals and victims tend to have the same lifestyle and live in the same neighborhoods, making it seem they are one and the same.
