The company Blue tech was incorporated in the year 1984. The main business of the company is to provide the technology solutions and professional services to the Federal Government and the Defense Industry. The main areas in which the company provides its services are Data Security and Enterprise Solutions.
1. The decision that has impacted the performance of the company is as under:
The main strategy of the company is to increase its Revenue. The sales revenue of the company is good but in comparison to that the Net Profit made by the company is relatively lower. This Operating Profit Margin of the company is low in comparison to the high Gross Profit made by the company. This reflects that the company has spent major amount in financing their operations. The major Operating Expense is the Depreciation. Since the company is a technology-based company and has a strategy to find new technologies, the company has invested a lot in the fixed assets and hence the depreciation expense of the company is also high. It is because of the high operating cost that the operating margin of the company is low.
