Analyze a propped cantilever beam (clamped at one end and pinned at the other end) under uniformly distributed load (of intensity, q = q0) using the (a) direct iteration as well as the (b) Newton’s iteration methods. Use eight EBT or eight linear TBT elements, with E = 30 × 106 psi, (ν = 0.3), L = 100 in, and H = W = 1 in. You may begin with a load of q0 = 0.25 and increment the load until the total load reaches q0 = 10. Use a convergence tolerance of  = 10−3 and maximum number of iterations to be ITMAX = 50. Tabulate and plot the deflection w(L/2) versus load q0.
