This argument analysis examines the article, “Pill testing as a harm reduction strategy time to have a conversation” (Morgan & Jones, 2019). The article is about pill testing in Australia that would help in the reduction of danger from the intake of pills. The overall article explains the effects of taking pills at the festivals. It describes the toxicology of the particular drug that is consumed in the Music Festival and has serious and adverse effects on the health of young people. The analysis identifies the main claims that are associated with the efficacy of pill testing methods that are mentally discussed in this article.
Morgan & Jones claims that there are difficulties in considering pill testing programs that do not have any gold standards (2019). The authors further claim that there are certain measures that were taken up in Europe in order to provide check the pills. Subsequently, the author claims that pill testing provides a clear benefit to information warning systems and clinics ones that provides strong ground-level data. The authors mention that this aspect is more advanced than drug seizures and waste-water analysis.
The first claim is that there are no proper gold standards for pill testing problems. The authors argue that there are major differences between the techniques or accuracy.
