  1. An Organizational psychologist hypothesizes that after groups go through the Chaos stage, there will be a short window in which the group will function optimally. This is considered a honeymoon period, where the excitement of working with new people adds to the group’s ability to solve complex problems. After this period the group members becomes used to each other, the excitement is gone and so it the extra boost to problem solving.

She tests this hypothesis by having 20 groups (of five people) solve complex problems every hour for 5 hours. She predicts that the Chaos period will affect the first solution, the honeymoon period will affect the 2nd and 3rd solutions, and performance on the 4th and 5th will then drop.

 She finds thatF (4, 15) = 5.80,p<.01, partial-eta-squared="">

Evaluate her study. Does the study and its results support her hypothesis? Why or why not?
