An interesting part of Wikipedia is the way in which it makes the collaborative process visible to those who wish to participate in it or understand it. For example, at the top of entries, readers often see tabs labeled “Article,” “Discussion” or “Read” (which discusses aspects of the entry), “Edit” (which permits authorized users to post editorial changes), and “View History” (which keeps track of all changes made and the person making them). As the notes at the beginning of each of these entries indicate, there was a suggestion that the second entry be merged into the first, a suggestion that was ultimately rejected. To what extent do you see the two entries as overlapping? To what extent do you see them as different? Should they be merged? (You may want to consult the “Discussion” on these entries; if the archive on this discussion is still available, it may give you some additional ideas about the links between the two entries.)
