An engineer uses Brand A air filter to keep fermenters sterile during operation. Brand X filters have success rate of 0.90, so 90% of the fermentations are not contaminated. The researcher would like to test a new air filter, Brand Y, and compare its probability of success with Brand X. Out of 120 test fermentations made using Brand Y only 9 were contaminated. Perform a hypothesis test to decide if probability of success of Brand Y is significantly higher than that of Brand X, use α = 0.01.
