Amelia is a yoga enthusiast who for a number of years, has promoted the art of yoga. Alongside her own classes, Amelia is also employed with Can-Do Yoga Limited (CDY), which offers ‘on the spot’ yoga classes for business employees within a 10-mile area. The classes are held at the businesses’ premises. This involves considerable travel. Therefore, CDY provides Amelia with the use of a company car. Amelia must also wear a CDY-branded yoga outfit while running the class. Amelia is paid $350 for each session she runs.
During one CDY session, Amelia decided to attempt a new exercise which she had never tried before. To demonstrate the exercise, Amelia asked for a volunteer. Beverley, a member of the class, came forward. Amelia knew that Beverley was aged 67 and suffered from a bad back, but proceeded to use her to
demonstrate the exercise without explaining first what was going to happen. During the demonstration, Beverley suffered an injury, when she slipped a disc in her back.Advise CDY.
