Introduction to the Report
The report that is going to be illustrated here is a mere intern teamwork experience than that of a formal announcement, as per the instruction of the boss of the organisation where I along with three of my intern colleagues work as an intern of an organisation that has a long reputation and brand in Australia. The instruction of the boss, who is the official in charge of the intern program, has to be to work with complete compliance of the organisation so that this team can play a functional role within the organisation. However, while performing the duties of the internship, we faced several problems that are enough to affect the performance of the team. Yet, with some self-solving strategies, we have attained success finally and solved that organisational problem. It is also awaited that this report can play the role of a blueprint for any intern team in future who would face this type of problems.
Intern Team Composition
The Intern Team who works at the organisation comprises four members that are me and three named B, C and D. All these four team members are from different diverse backgrounds. I am from the experience of accounting and have done my specialization in Accounting Ethics and Ethical role of accounting for the success and reputation of any organisation. B has done his complete specialization in Human Resources Management and done diploma in Human Resources Management. Hence he is excellently acquainted with the ideas and strategies of Human Resource Management. C is from the background of technological and innovation studies. His areas of interest lay in the inducement of innovation strategies and specialized back up in the organisation so that the success of the organisation becomes soon. Finally, to say D is from the background of Operation management and her specialization lies in Diploma and Advanced Diploma In operation management. Hence she excels in operation and supply management skill. Thus the team of the intern project comprises four members who are of different and diverse backgrounds.
Under the attribute of each of the team members, the four members are divested with different roles within this teamwork that is to be asserted here.
My role in the team is to derive details of information on the identified organisational problem as determined by the boss. Hence I have to research the issue in particular, and once the research is over and knowledge is secured, I will intimate the parties to the other teammates and will work with them till the last.
Role of Member B is to focus in detail on how this problem is relevant and if congruous with the performance of the workforce of the organisation. As the prescribed problem that is identified by our boss is lack of accounting ethics within the organisation, hence he is fostering on how the employees and workforce of the organisation are impacted due to the lack of accounting ethics.
The group attributes or the role of Member C is focused on how with the implication of innovation and technological strategies, the identified problem can be solved so that in future, this does not arise again.
Finally, D will research the impact of Accounting Ethics on the operation and the SCM of the organisation. Finally, we all are instructed to recommend at least five prominent strategies to the Board of Directors, so that the problem of Lack of Accounting Ethics can be soon solved and such incidents never happen again in future. However, while executing our work; we faced several issues that have momentarily impacted on the team performance. However, we all devise right strategies to solve those issues promptly.
Hence under the organisational concept, this is the model of the study of the group and the individual performance within the structure of any organisation though with a touch of individuality. Hence as per the model of the organisational behavior, the team members of the intern team have implemented the models of collective corporate obligations that are the duties towards the organisation but with adherence to individual expertise and sagacity. In the organisation where we work as the intern, the Theory Y of the organisational behavior mostly adheres. Under the theory, the managers of the organisation create an ambience of work culture where for the growth of the organisation, the employees can easily use their self-assessment and ideas. Hence the leaders and the managers empower the employees to take the initiative for organisational success and use of self-direction along with the team directives. The ultimate goal is the dual growth of the organisation and the employees.
Four issues that affect team performance
Under the model of organisational behavior, we all the intern team members have tried to stick to the organisational behavior but with individual ideals and strategies. However, as mentioned earlier, we the four are from different backgrounds. Hence it created some problems and erected some issues that made a labyrinth for us.
